Scott Mahoney

Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Mahoney has almost 20 years of finance and executive management experience and has held positions at several public and privately held companies in the banking, energy and recycling industries.  Prior to joining MagneGas, Mr. Mahoney served as Chief Financial Officer of Phoenix Group Metals, LLC, a recycling company which he grew through various acquisitions.  He has also served as Chief Financial Officer of several oil and gas companies and as Vice-President of JP Morgan Chase.  Mr. Mahoney is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and obtained his Bachelor Degree from the University of New Hampshire and his Master in Business Administration from the Thunderbird School of International Management.

Richard Conz

Vice President of Engineering, Research & Development

Mr. Conz is an accomplished professional with more than thirty years of engineering, program management, and new business development experience which included 28 years with Raytheon. His expertise includes component and system level design, integration and test, production, deployment and maintenance of complex electro-mechanical systems. He is well-trained and versed in engineering processes, strategy development, and project scoping, planning, execution, and budget/resource management throughout the entire program life cycle.

In 2011, he received a patent for performing complex cost/performance trades to determine system best value solutions. In 2013, Mr. Conz launched a successful consulting business, providing business development, program management, and engineering services.  In this role, he provides leadership and direction in the areas of company/program assessments, market analysis, business intelligence, Price-To-Win assessments, and has a solid reputation as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in multiple markets.  He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Wayne State University and held Program Management, Capture Management, and Six Sigma certifications.

Tyler B. Wilson, Esq.

Chief Financial Officer & General Counsel 

Mr. Wilson has served as the Company’s General Counsel since mid-2017. On December 1, 2018, he was appointed as the Company’s Executive Vice President and corporate Secretary. During his time with the Company, Mr. Wilson has been instrumental in advancing the Company’s acquisition model, leading capital market financings and shoring up corporate governance. Mr. Wilson has served as the managing attorney of Wilson Law Group, PLLC, a corporate and securities boutique he founded in 2011. Over the course of his career, Mr. Wilson has founded a number of start-ups while managing Wilson Law Group and has developed extensive experience in business operations in addition to his legal expertise. Mr. Wilson holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Notre Dame and a Juris Doctor from the University of Notre Dame Law School.

Eric R. Newell

Vice President of Corporate Operations & Treasurer

Mr. Newell has more than twenty years of successful business management and hands-on operational experience in several diverse industries. At Taronis, he has been instrumental in transforming the company’s administrative and technology infrastructure into a framework that will scale effectively. He has previously served the company in several operational, project management and acquisition integration roles. In his current position, Mr. Newell works directly with the entire executive management team to help shape and execute the company’s overall operational strategy.

Julie White

Human Resources Manager

Ms. White is a Human Resources professional with more than a decade of human resource, benefits and payroll management experience. She previously worked for a large global supply-chain distribution company. She brings an extensive knowledge of employment regulations, employee administration, payroll processing, and benefits administration to the Taronis team.

Shelley Kitts

Director of External Reporting

Mrs. Kitts has more than 25 years of experience in financial statement preparation, internal controls, both internal and external reporting, and audits. She has worked for both publicly-traded and privately-held companies with revenues of $1M to $1B. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Accounting, a Masters Degree in Business Administration, and a CPA certification.

James Merrick

Assistant Controller

Mr. Merrick brings a wealth of accounting, audit and compliance knowledge to the Taronis finance team. He has held several accounting management and audit positions and is actively studying for his CPA license. He holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master’s Degree in Accounting from Arizona State University.

Brian Jackson

Retail Operations Controller

Mr. Jackson has extensive accounting experience in the medical, manufacturing and transportation industries. He has almost 15 years in the welding supply and industrial gas industry, 7 years as a Controller. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration with an Accounting major and Management minor.

Rafe Dean

Vice President of Operations – U.S. Retail

Mr. Dean has more than twenty years of industry experience. He began his career with an independent welding distributor and was promoted through all levels of the business from driver to management. Over his career, Mr. Dean has achieved many sales goals and profitable growth within the industry. Prior to its acquisition by MagneGas in early 2018, Mr. Dean started Green Arc following success managing sales at another distributor that was sold to Matheson. During his time there, Mr. Dean grew the company’s sales by 11 million under his management. Mr. Dean received an Associate’s Degree in Fire Science from Texas A&M University.

Sal Pena

Regional Vice President – West

Mr. Peña has more than 20 years of successful business management experience in a variety of industries and more than 12 years in compressed gases and welding supplies. Mr. Peña holds a Bachelors Degree in Industrial Arts with an emphasis on Manufacturing and Graphic Design as well as a Bachelors Degree in Spanish Literature.

Robert Denton

Regional Vice President – South

Mr. Denton is our Regional Vice President for the Texas and Louisiana markets. With more than 21 years of experience and a passion for the welding supply industry, Robert brings a wealth of experience and product knowledge to his current role. He enjoys the personal satisfaction of servicing our customers and never meets a stranger.

Robert VanNurden

Regional Vice President – Southeast

Mr. VanNurden has been in the compressed gases and welding supply business for more than 22 years, almost 20 years of that as a Branch Manager. He brings a wealth of customer service, store management and product knowledge to his role as Regional Vice President for our Florida market.

Jack Armstrong

Vice President of Business Development

Mr. Armstrong has over 20 years of experience in the capital markets. He was a Managing Director at Piper Jaffray, Head of Trading at ThinkEquity Partners and recently the Senior Vice President of the Corporate Client Group at Northland Capital Markets assisting companies in strategy and capital raises. Over his career, Mr. Armstrong has worked with senior level management at several of the largest investment companies through the process of raising an estimated $5 billion of funds over his career. Mr. Armstrong received a Bachelors of Administration in Economics from Arizona State University.

Omar Alothaim

Area Manager – Middle East, Turkey and Africa

Mr. Alothaim has more than 10 years of business development, sales and strategy experience in the technology industry. Prior to joining Taronis, Mr. Alothaim worked at Intel and SAP where he led several transformative projects in the Middle East. Mr. Alothaim obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Computer and Information Sciences from King Saud University and his Master’s in Global Management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management.
